Troubleshooting
I didn't get the account verification email.
Verification emails usually arrive within a few minutes. If you don’t see yours, check your Spam or Promotions folder first. Still nothing? Contact me and I’ll help.
I'm having trouble logging into my account.
First, double-check that you’re using the correct email address and password. If you still can’t sign in, try resetting your password. If that doesn’t work, contact me and I’ll help you get back in.
I no longer have access to my email.
If you’ve lost access to the email associated with your account, contact me. I’ll ask for a few details to verify account ownership and help where possible.
I can't share an escape room.
First, make sure you clicked the verification link we sent to your email. For security reasons, email verification is required before you can share escape rooms. Next, make sure the escape room is included with your plan. Starter includes a limited set of 8 games, while All-Access lets you share any escape room from the library.
If everything looks right and you still can’t share, contact me.
My game code isn't working.
1. Double-check the code. Compare it carefully, character-by-character.
2. Make sure the escape room is still active. Shared escape rooms expire after 14 days. Log into your account, open the Shared tab, and look for the escape room. If it isn't there, re-share it from your Library to generate a new code.
3. Try a new game code. If the escape room is still active but the code isn't working, click the X on it in the Shared tab, then re-share it from your Library. This will generate a new code for your students.
4. Contact me. If you've tried these steps and it still isn't working, email me.
I found a bug or glitch.
Please contact me and let me know what went wrong. The more detail you can include, the faster I can track it down and fix it. It helps to include:
- If you're on the Starter plan, the All-Access plan, or neither
- The escape room you were playing
- What happened, and what you expected to happen
- Your device and browser
- A screenshot, if possible
The Basics
What’s the Library tab?
The Library is where you can browse and share every escape room available on your plan. Filter by season, topic, or grade level, then dig into specific skills and standards. You can also preview games and save your favorites.
What’s the Favorites tab?
The Favorites tab keeps your go-to escape rooms in one place. Save the games you use most, then organize them into whatever order works best for you.
What's the Shared tab?
The Shared tab keeps every escape room you’ve shared with students in one place, so you can quickly re-access game codes and answer keys.
Sharing Escape Rooms
How do I share escape rooms with students?
Accounts give you three simple ways to share an escape room with students:
✓ Send them a direct link
✓ Share a game code for them to enter at play.dingopunks.com
✓ Post it directly to Google Classroom
Are there limits on sharing escape rooms?
You can share escape rooms as often as you’d like, with all the students you teach, across all your classes, year after year!
The only limit is that you can have up to 20 active shares at one time. Shares expire after 14 days (or you can cancel them early), so you can always share the same escape room again whenever you need it.
Do students need to sign in?
No, accounts are for educators only. Students simply enter the game code you give them at play.dingopunks.com. There are no student logins, passwords, or accounts to manage.
Info, Previews, and Answer Keys
How can I get more info about an escape room?
Click Info on any escape room in your account to see its topic, season, theme, grade level, skills, and specific standards. You can also open a live preview to see the game for yourself before sharing it.
Can I preview an escape room before sharing it?
Of course! Click Info on any escape room in your account, then select Preview to open a live preview of the game.
How do I view the answer key?
You can view the answer key for any escape room you’ve shared. Go to the Shared tab, click Info, then select Answer Key.
Bonus Missions & Printables
What's a bonus mission?
Bonus Missions are exclusively an All-Access feature. They're educational mini-games made for fast finishers who need something to do while everyone else finishes up an escape room. Enter the Undermurk is the first one, and we plan to add more in the future.
How do my students access a bonus mission?
Bonus Missions appear on the Score screen after students finish an escape room. From there, they can choose to play on their own or compete with other members of their team. Playing a Bonus Mission is completely optional.
What's Enter the Undermurk?
Enter the Undermurk is the very first Bonus Mission. It’s a fast-paced vocabulary game where team members can compete against each other as they travel deeper into the mysterious Undermurk.
What are the free classroom printables?
The free classroom printables are a small collection of free PDF activities, like brain teasers, coloring sheets, and math and reading challenges. They’re not escape rooms; they're optional classroom extras you can use for rewards, fast finishers, take-home activities, or whenever you need something extra.
Individual Purchases
How are individual purchases different from accounts?
Can I add individual purchases to my account?
No. Individual purchases and Dingo Punks accounts are separate systems, so individually-purchased escape rooms can’t be added to your account.
Can an individual purchase be credited toward All-Access?
Yes! Enter your latest order number when upgrading to All-Access and we’ll apply an $8.99 credit toward your first year. If you bought from dingopunks.com, your order number is in the email "Your Dingo Punks Receipt." If you bought on TPT, your order number can be found by clicking My Purchases then "View Receipt."
Account-Sharing and Licensing
Can I use my account with different classes or students?
Absolutely! Your account follows you, not a particular class or school. You can use it with any students you personally teach, tutor, instruct, or supervise, across different classes, schools, and years.
Can another teacher use my account or game codes?
No. Your account and game codes are licensed to you and can’t be shared or transferred to another educator for their own use. The only exception is a substitute, co-teacher, or similar educator facilitating on your behalf.
Can parents use my account or game codes at home?
No. Your account and game codes are for students you’re teaching or supervising and can’t be shared with families for independent use at home. If a parent wants to use Dingo Punks independently, they’ll need their own account or game code.
Do you offer commercial, school, or district licenses?
Not yet. For now, tutoring companies and other organizations need a separate account for each educator using Dingo Punks. Accounts cannot be shared by multiple team members.
All-Access Billing
How does All-Access billing work?
All-Access is $2.99/month, billed annually at $35.88. Payments are processed securely through Stripe, with flexible options including most major cards, Apple Pay, Amazon Pay, Klarna, Cash App, Link, and secure bank-linking.
Does All-Access renew automatically?
Yes. All-Access renews automatically each year until you cancel. We’ll send you an email before your renewal, so you have plenty of notice.
What happens if I cancel my All-Access subscription?
Your membership won’t renew at the end of your current term, but you’ll keep full All-Access benefits until then. After your term ends, your account will return to Starter and you’ll lose access to escape rooms outside the free collection.
